DYSLEXIA CONFERENCE

'Challenging the Myths: Erasing the Stigma'

This one-day professional development and community event includes an examination of the neurology of dyslexia, the role of phonemic awareness, the Orton Gillingham program, and how dyslexia affects people socially.
This presentation is one in a series looking at current ways of thinking about learning disabilities. It is co-sponsored by Links to Learning Resource Centre and Loyalist College's Student Office for Alternative Resources.

The learning Disabilities Association of Kingston is sponsoring its sixth annual conference for people working, or living with, children, teenagers, and adults with learning disabilities and ADHD. The conference will be of interest to parents, educators, and other professionals.
